Visit Old Goa
From the period when Goa was a Portuguese capital remains impressive churches and cathedrals. They are part of the largest in Asia. Some of colonial buildings have been transformed into archaeological museum and offer a complete view of the history of the city. One of the most interesting buildings of Old Goa is the convent and church of Saint Francis of Assisi, built in 1521. Just opposite is the Basilica of Bom Jesus which houses the body of St. Francis Xavier, a revered missionary became the patron saint of Goa. His body is shown to the public every 10 years, with an upcoming exhibition in 2014.

Best time to visit Goa
Goa is small state with about 131 km coastline and uniform climate throughout the state. In the month of may and june humidity remains above 90%. For rest of the year Goa is pleasant destination to plan a travel. Majority of the tourists visit Goa from october to March.

Nature reserves
The location of Goa, specifically its Western Ghats mountains, can accommodate a large number of birds and animals. Approximately 20% of the territory is nature reserves. Open all year round, the best time to visit these parks runs from October to March. The two large nature reserves are Bhagwan Mahvir (including Mollem National Park is a part) and Cotigao. At the edge of Mollem National Park, one can see the towering waterfalls Dudhsagar where, during and after the monsoon, the flood of water accelerates to jump from an impressive height. Housing, belonging to the Forest Department of Goa, is possible in both reserves. To spend a night in an ecological, we suggest you sleep in a mud hut in Shanti Nature Resort in Mollem National Park.

Dolphins Goa
Goa offers activities including a very special approach dolphins. For both adults and children, this meeting is a favorite of our holiday times. All major beaches, especially those of Varca and Cavelossim but also those of Calangute, Agonda, Candolim, Palolem, Miramar, Baga, Vagator and Anjuna, offer tourists the opportunity to closely observe the dolphins. Apart from the beaches, it is also possible to see dolphins from the rivers and streams that cross Goa (Mandovi, Zuari of the Sal and Chapora). The best season for dolphin watching is between October and May.
