Dashashwamedh Ghat is the main Ghat in Varanasi on the Holy River Ganga. Ghat is located near the VishwanathTemple and it is apparently the most impressive Ghat. It is believed that Hindu legend Lord Brahma created it to welcome Lord Shiva. Also Lord Brahma sacrificed ten horses during Dasa-Ashwamedha yagna performed here.

Ganga Aartis are performed in Dashashwamedh Ghat and special Aartis are held on Tuesday and on religious festivals.
