Kumbhalgarh Fort is a Hilltop Fort situated on the Aravalli range of Hills in the Rajsamand District near Udaipur of Rajasthan. It is a world heritage site which is second most important Fort of Rajasthan after Chittorgarh and with a wall over 38 km long, the Fort is second largest wall in the world after the Great Wall of China. Kumbhalgarh Fort was built during 15th century by Rana Kumbha and so named after him. The Fort is constructed on the top most Hill around 1914 meters above the sea level, the wonderful Fort has many Palaces, Temples, and gardens adding to its grandeur.
The impeccable Fort boasts seven large gates, seven ramparts folded with one another with designed walls, huge watch tower, not less than 360 temples in the Fort and Shiva Temple is famous amongst them.
Badal Mahal( palace of cloud) is most fascinating Palace in the Fort, it is the place where the great warrior Maharana Pratap took birth. The Palace has glorified rooms and a place of indulging in the world of cloud. It offers spectacular views of countryside.
Kumbhal Fort is prominent place of tourist attraction and can be reached easily from Udaipur as the distance between Udaipur and Kumbhalgarh Fort is 82 km.
