Pushkar Sarovar or Pushkar Lake is situated in the Pushkar town in Ajmer district of Rajasthan. Sarovar is spiritual Lake of the Hindus and considered to be the most sacred. It is believed that bathing in this holy Lake on Kartik Poornima will nullify sins and cure skin diseases. A large Fair is held on Kartik poornima and thousands of people visit this Fair. The Hindu Scriptures describe it as Tirtha-Raj and creator of this Lake is Brahma God, whose Temple is also stands in Pushkar.

Sarovar has 52 bathing ghats and the water in each ghat is believed to possess special medicinal powers. Around 500 Hindu Temples are situated on the shores of Lake.
