Tourist Attractions in Omkareshwar

Omkareshwar is town located near Indore city of Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the sacred cities visited by large number of devotees throughout every year. It is home to one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva which retains great spiritual faith. The faith and religiousness of Omkareshwar is naturally complemented by the geographical shape of the land, which looks liked the religious Hindu Symbol 'Om', from where city derived its name. Omkareshwar is adorned with lavish hills, between which the river Narmada forms a scenic pool.
